Lock of the Day: Marcus Smart vs. Brooklyn Nets - Over 13.5 Points (-120)
Reasoning:
Smart has easily hit the line in most of his games against Brooklyn in the regular and postseason. He scored 19 points in 2 of their 3 regular-season meetings and has scored 17 and 19 in Games 1 and 2. His minutes, and more importantly his production has not been impacted whether or not Boston is getting blown out. Expect him to continue his production in a game Boston needs to win to have hope of winning this series.
Jacob’s Pick: Luka Doncic vs. Dallas Mavericks - OVER 3.5 Three-pointers made (+127)
Reasoning:
Doncic has been dominant against the Clippers all year, especially in the postseason. He’s hit 4 or more three-pointers in their last four matchups with the Clippers and hit 5 in each playoff game so far. With coach Tyronn Lue trying almost everything possible to defend the young star in Games 1 and 2, I don’t see there being some new strategy the Clippers could use to all of a sudden stop Doncic. Doncic has found ways to get open and create separation all series which has led to him shooting an average of 12 three-pointers each game.
Anthony’s Pick: Joe Harris vs. Boston Celtics - OVER 12.5 Points (-120)
Reasoning:
Harris has been a consistent weapon for the Nets against the Celtics all season long. In the regular season, he averaged 13.6 points per game against Boston. He didn’t hit the line in Game 1 scoring 10 points, but he came back in Game 2 scoring 25 points while shooting 9-of-14 from the field. With Jeff Green out for the next few games, Harris will need to step up in order for Brooklyn to maintain control of the series.
