Lock of the Day: Dejounte Murray vs. Memphis Grizzlies - OVER 4.5 Assists (-110)
Reasoning:
Murray averages 5.4 assists per game, which already is above the line. While he’s been inconsistent at times he’s averaged 5.6 assists during May leading up to the postseason. He’s recorded 9, 7, and 4 assists respectively in each of his games against Memphis this season. All of those were very high scoring contests, so expect Murray to take advantage of that and have another high assists total tonight.
Jacob’s Pick: Dennis Schroder vs. Golden State Warriors - OVER 4.5 Assists (+118)
Reasoning:
Although Schroder hasn’t gotten at least 5 assists in his last two games since returning from the leagues health and safety protocols, he dished out over 5 assists in every game in April except for one and he averaged 8.3 assists per game over the entire month. In the guard’s 3 game’s against the Warriors this season, Schroder averaged 5.3 assists per game and got over his assist line in their two most recent matchups. With the Lakers team finally back to full strength Schroder will have a full arsenal of weapons that will be able to score off his assists and get him over his assist line.
Anthony’s Pick: Kyle Anderson vs. San Antonio Spurs - OVER 1.5 three-pointers (+146)
Reasoning:
Anderson may not always have the efficiency, but he has guaranteed volume with his three-point shots. He’s averaged 3.8 attempts per game this season, with 1.4 makes. He’s heated up entering the playoffs, hitting the line in 5 of his final 9 regular season games. Expect Andersn to continue that streak in a high scoring game against the Spurs’ 23rd ranked three-point defense, a defense that allowed him to hit the line twice out of their 3 meetings.
