Lock of the Day: Anfernee Simons vs. Denver Nuggets - OVER 2.5 Rebounds (+114)

Reasoning:

While this bet may seem like an odd choice, if you look at the number of rebounds he's grabbed each game in this series, you can see the value in the odds and why there's a good chance this bet hits. In each of the five games, he's recorded three rebounds except for in Game 1, where he had four rebounds. The young guard may not be known for his rebounding ability, but he has been getting consistent minutes each game in the playoffs (17.2 minutes per game), which is the key to him grabbing at least three boards. I expect this game to be fairly close, so Simons should get a decent amount of playing time, allowing him to snag a few rebounds.

Jacob’s Pick: Austin Rivers vs. Portland Trail Blazers - OVER 1.5 Three-pointers made (-175)

Reasoning:

After choosing Rivers as our lock of the day Tuesday, he showed out and nailed four three-pointers in Game 5 solidifying the fact that he is a consistent threat from deep. Rivers has been an efficient three-point shooter in the playoffs, making at least two three-pointers in their last four games. The game should come down to the wire just like in Game 5 so expect Rivers to get lots of minutes and plenty of opportunities to sink the ball from deep.

Anthony’s Pick: Cameron Payne vs. Los Angeles Lakers - OVER 11.5 Points (-130)

Reasoning:

Outside of Game 1, Payne has been a constant threat to the Laker's defense. In the last four games, Payne has averaged 15.8 points per game, and has shot over 40% from the field and three-point range in the series. If Anthony Davis is active it could make the game more competitive, but regardless Payne should be expected to hit his line in a potential closeout game for the Suns.
